The members of Swing Speak wish to thank all of those 2006 -2007 WAMA (Washington Area Music Association) members who, for the 12th year in a row, nominated Swing Speak in several categories, and for honoring us with a win in the category of "Best Swing Group." Congratulations also to guitarist, Dave Chappell, a frequent member of Swing Speak who was honored with "Musician of the Year" for the second time. Swing Speak's CD release "Well Spoken" was honored with the WAMA (Wammie) Award for "Best Traditional Jazz Recording" at the awards in January 1998.
